Cover is not easy to get a position on the plate and be a little difficult to latch properly.
My main disappointment is that there is a very deep hole and eggs, deviled eggs, sitting all the way down into the hole so that they can be hard to get from one serving time. I would use a toothpick to get them out. If the holes are a little shallow, then I will pick them up with my hands and get them out easier.
